The Next Four Years: Let’s Keep Building
We’ve made real progress in Morinville, but we’re not done yet. The next council will face some of the biggest opportunities this town has seen in decades. Rebuilding infrastructure, strengthening local business, and making Morinville an affordable and attractive place to live will require steady leadership, teamwork, and continued collaboration with developers, the province, and our neighbours in the region.
✔️ Infrastructure
- Continue addressing the 30-year infrastructure deficit with a long-term, efficient plan.
- Focus on essentials like roads, utilities, and core services.
✔️ Community Development
- Support residential growth and a variety of housing options for all income levels.
- Develop commercial corridors like Highway 642 and our industrial park to bring jobs and amenities closer to home.
✔️ Business and Affordability
- Keep taxes fair and predictable.
- Expand partnerships with developers and business owners.
✔️ Regional Voice
- Maintain strong working relationships with neighbouring municipalities and First Nations.
- Keep Morinville at the regional table through leadership on Edmonton Global and other regional boards we serve on.
✔️ Accountable and Community-Minded Government
- Stay transparent.
- Stay accessible.
- Stay focused on what matters most to residents.
