On September 22, I was acclaimed as Mayor for another term. Acclamation means there is no election race for mayor, but it does not mean there is no responsibility. My responsibility now, as always, is to listen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Listening Before Leading<\/strong>

Over the next 28 days, while council candidates share their platforms, I\u2019ll be at my scheduled tent stops \u2014 now Listening Posts \u2014 to hear your ideas, concerns, and priorities for Morinville\u2019s future.

The road to here<\/strong>

Four years ago, I asked for your vote with a promise to lead with integrity, rebuild trust, and get Morinville back on track. Since then, we have made real progress. Not just on the numbers, but in how we work together. Council is focused. Community groups are stronger. Morinville is once again seen as a serious partner in the region. We are showing what steady, respectful leadership can accomplish when it puts residents first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u2714\ufe0f We eliminated Morinville\u2019s $1.87 million operating deficit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2714\ufe0f We’ve rebuilt community trust and our financial reserves.

\u2714\ufe0f We\u2019ve prioritized safety, supported local business, and repaired roads at a record pace.

\u2714\ufe0f We\u2019ve earned respect as a serious player in the region through leadership on key boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morinville is no longer just watching other towns grow. We\u2019re building something real here. I\u2019m running again because the work isn\u2019t done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership that listens. Results that show.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I believe in collaboration over conflict. In council chambers, that means listening, working as a team, and leading by example. I\u2019m proud of the strong, functional council we\u2019ve built, the work we\u2019ve done with our neighbours, and the partnerships we\u2019ve forged with other orders of government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But most of all, I\u2019m proud of what we\u2019ve built together as neighbours, as volunteers, and as people who care deeply about this town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
